Current position
Key Account Manager
After successfully passing my final examination, I joined the final door leaf assembly department as a skilled worker. In addition to daily door leaf production, I was given the task of team leader. In the course of this, I completed my master craftsman training at the weekend, parallel to work. I then helped to set up the VT project management department, where I was able to gain my first experience in the project business, which I was able to supplement with a two-year correspondence course in project management. After two years in production control, combined with support and various business trips to our site in Poland, I returned to sales. Since then, I have been working there as a Key Account Manager.
The good reputation of our training programme was my motivation to apply to BODE.
Due to the variety of projects, my working days are very varied. In addition to internal project management with various specialist departments, my daily work involves communicating with our customers. My regular business trips also contribute to personal dialogue and the expansion of business relationships.
In my current position as Key Account Manager, I particularly appreciate the variety and the intensive contact with our customers. Every day brings new challenges and the variety of projects keeps the work exciting. I particularly like the fact that I work at both an operational and strategic level, working closely with our specialist departments and customers. The direct exchange with our customers enables me to gain deeper insights into their needs and develop customised solutions.
I experience the cooperation at Bode as extremely cooperative and solution-orientated. What particularly characterises it is the open communication and the strong team spirit. Everyone contributes their knowledge and strengths and this ensures that we can realise projects efficiently and successfully.
One particular team experience was setting up the project management department. This project showed me how important teamwork is for the success of a project. Everyone involved gave their best and we were able to create a solid foundation that is still an important part of our work today.
During my two years in production control at Bode, I particularly enjoyed working with our colleagues in Poland. The direct support and regular business trips to Rawicz enabled me to experience the international cooperation between our locations and to promote the process-related synergies within the BODE Group.
The corporate culture at BODE is characterised by strong cooperation, openness and a strong learning culture. There are flat hierarchies and respectful interaction with one another, which makes communication easier. Everyone has the opportunity to contribute their own ideas and it is important for employees to be able to develop continuously. This creates a pleasant and motivating working environment.
Teamwork, reliability and the willingness to constantly develop further are particularly important to me. These values are reflected in my day-to-day work by always seeking dialogue with colleagues in order to find the best solutions together.
BODE offers a wide range of opportunities for further training, whether through internal training courses or external training programmes. There is also the opportunity to gain further qualifications through extra-occupational courses of study or special training programmes.
Yes, definitely. Various further training programmes have not only taught me new skills, but have also prepared me for my current position in sales. Bode also supported the master craftsman school that I attended alongside my work.
My advice to new employees would be to always remain curious and open to new things. It's important to network well right from the start and get to know the different departments.
The key to success is a combination of fun, commitment and a willingness to take on responsibility. It is also important to be flexible and open to new challenges. In a dynamic company like Bode, it is crucial to keep adapting and not lose sight of the big picture.
