Current position
Field Service Technician
My name is Trai, I'm 22 years old and I've been working at BODE for two and a half years. I originally started as an HVAC technician doing repairs and overhauls. Now I've taken on the position of Field Service Technician and I'm excited to see where this new role will take me.
After leaving school, I decided to go straight into working life. During my engineering studies at university, I worked part-time as a car mechanic. After a period of unemployment due to Covid, I started my career in the rail industry - at BODE.
Looking for a professional perspective during the Covid pandemic, I decided that I wanted to work in an industry where I could develop and build a career. BODE's specialization in unique systems in the railroad industry fascinated me and inspired me to apply and develop within the company.
My daily work routine starts with traveling to a train depot and working closely with our customers to make adjustments to the fleet's door systems. The special thing about my current position is that every day is different from the last. Whether it's a different depot or different train modifications, it keeps me on my toes and allows me to learn something new every day.
What I particularly appreciate about my position is that I have the opportunity to work with experienced German technicians and contribute to projects such as the new metro fleet in Glasgow. At BODE, great emphasis is placed on personal development and teamwork, which is very important to me. Training courses in Germany and Poland have broadened my experience and better prepared me for my tasks.
In my opinion, the key to success is adaptability and a constant desire to learn. Personally, I am never satisfied unless I learn something new, which motivates me to step out of my comfort zone and take on new challenges to expand my knowledge and experience.
